WHAT IS FULL SPECTRUM?
CBD has been the term commonly used for products containing the compound cannabidiol. However, CBD is only one of 100+ beneficial phytocannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. The term “CBD” could also be used to denote an “isolate” product, or one that contains CBD only.
Full spectrum is a term that is more indicative of the hemp oil that we use in our products. Our oil contains CBD, as well as all the other beneficial constituents found in the cannabis plant that work together synergistically for what is known as “The Entourage Effect,” including:

CBD is considered “non-intoxicating.” Results are generally seen within 15-30 minutes, peak in 1-2 hours, and last between 4-8 hours.

WHAT IS CANNABIGEROL (CBG)?
Cannabigerol (CBG) is a relatively newly discovered non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid considered the chemical parent or “stem cell” of CBD and THC and is found in young cannabis or hemp plants. However, it is completely distinct from CBD in both chemical structure and concentration within cannabis plants. CBG is considered one of the five major cannabinoids along with: cannabidiol (CBD), cannabichromene (CBC), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabinol (CBN). Early research suggests that CBG has the following benefits:

Our bites include a full spectrum blend of five certified organic beneficial mushrooms: Shiitake, Reishi, Mesima, Poria and Turkey Tail. Mushrooms have been used for thousands of years in many cultures. They are grown at a certified organic farm and laboratory in the U.S. and are non-hallucinogenic and non-toxic.
Originally used in the Eastern medicine, many mushroom varieties have been studied intensively for their beneficial properties over the past few decades. In fact, all edible mushrooms seem to possess beneficial properties, although they must be prepared properly to release their full benefits.
These benefits of mushrooms seem to exist mainly because of the presence of polysaccharides (complex sugar molecules) called beta glucans in their cell walls. Beta glucans are present in mushrooms, algae, bacteria, fungi, and yeast. Early human clinical trials with beta glucans have confirmed that they have an immune strengthening effect and are safe to consume, with minimal to no side effects.

Phellinus Linteus or Mesima is a mushroom that resembles a hoof. The colour of its stalk varies from dark brown to black. It is found mainly in China, Korea and Japan, where it is treated as a medicinal plant. This mushroom prefers the mulberry tree to other trees and is usually found growing on branches and stems.
The mushroom is also said to boost the body’s immune system. This is due to the presence of Beta D-Glucan and Lectin. These two polysaccharide-protein complexes possess properties that control the immune system.
It is also hailed as having properties that can regulate blood sugar levels.

Poria (Poria cocos) is a type of mushroom long used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) a form of alternative medicine that originated in China. Typically sourced from the mushroom’s filaments (the threadlike cells that form the body of the mushroom).
Poria contains several substances thought to promote health, including polysaccharides (a type of carbohydrate that appears to affect immune function) and triterpenoids (a class of compounds with antioxidant effects).

There are many varieties of Reishi, the most common of which has a soft, cork-like texture and an ear-shaped cap that ranges in color from red-orange to black. The Reishi mushroom has a rather bitter, woody taste, which is why it is traditionally prepared in a tea or as an extract. It wasn’t until the second half of the 20th century that researchers began to rigorously study the medicinal properties of the Reishi mushroom, which is known to the scientific community as ganoderma lucidum. Shiitake or Lentinula edodes is one of the most studied mushrooms. Shiitake mushrooms have immunomodulation, anticancer, antiviral, hepatoprotective, anti-ulcerogenic and anti-cholesterol properties. Shiitake is also the second most cultivated mushroom in the world. This mushroom wards off the bacteria that can lead to antibiotic resistance, which includes the antibiotic strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB)! Shiitake is also very important in protecting against the side effects on our bodies of GMOs.
